Chromium Carbide Overlay Pipe

A chromium carbide overlay pipe is a composite-structure pipe in which a layer of Cr₇C₃ chromium carbide wear-resistant alloy is overlaid on the inner or outer layer of the base pipe. Its hardness, impact resistance, and high-temperature wear performance significantly outperform ordinary carbon steel and other traditional wear-resistant steel pipes.

Benefits of Chromium Carbide Overlay Pipe

Chromium-Carbide-Overlay-Pipe-1
  • Designed to Target the Source of Wear

Compared with ordinary steel pipes that rely solely on base-material hardness, the hardfaced overlay is applied directly on the wear surface.
This delivers more focused and more effective wear resistance, exactly where it is needed.

  • Superior Performance in Combined Impact + Abrasion Conditions

Under complex conditions involving impact, abrasion, and vibration, ceramic-lined pipes or high-chromium castings are prone to cracking or chipping.
Hardfacing wear pipes, supported by a tougher steel substrate, maintain stability even in applications with frequent impact and vibration.

Flange Connection

Flange type

A flange connection is a detachable joint used to connect pipes, fittings, and equipment. Each component is mounted to its own flange, and a gasket is placed between the flange faces. The flanges are then tightened with bolts to create a secure, leak-proof seal.

Different flange types are used based on operating conditions:

• Slip-On Flange
• Weld Neck Flange
• Socket Weld Flange
• Blind Flange
• RTJ (Ring Type Joint) Flange
